“Campaign,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collect, use, disclose, and protect information in connection with
our websites, mobile sites, online forms, donation pages, social media pages, email programs, text
messaging programs, events, voter contact efforts, and other online or offline campaign activities that
link to or reference this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Services”).

staff, consultants, vendors, or volunteers.
In addition, Illinois law and Illinois State Board of Elections regulations may require us to collect
certain personal information from certain individuals and organizations.
Information We Collect Automatically When You Use the Site
When you access or use our Site, we automatically collect information about you, including:

amount, transaction date, payment information, and other legally required information. Payment card
information is generally processed by third-party payment processors and may not be stored by the
Campaign.

public filings. The specific information disclosed depends on applicable federal, state, and local law
and the amount or nature of the contribution.
TEXT MESSAGING AND MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS
The Campaign may offer text message programs, including SMS, MMS, peer-to-peer texting,
autodialed texts, and other mobile communications, subject to applicable law. By providing your
mobile number to the Campaign, checking a consent box, submitting a form, signing a petition,
donating, volunteering, attending an event, or otherwise consenting to receive messages, you
authorize Brewer for Chicago and its service providers to contact you at the mobile number provided
for campaign-related purposes.
Where required by law, we will obtain prior express consent before sending autodialed or
prerecorded/artificial voice calls or texts to a mobile number. Consent to receive text messages is not
a condition of making a donation, purchasing anything, volunteering, or supporting the Campaign.
Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed
or undelivered messages. To stop receiving text messages from a Campaign texting program, reply
STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT to any message from that program. For help,

After you opt out of a text messaging program, we may send a confirmation message and may retain
your phone number as necessary to maintain suppression or opt-out records. Opting out of one
texting program may not opt you out of all Campaign communications unless required by law or
unless you request broader removal.
Mobile opt-in data, text messaging consent, and text message originator data will not be sold or
shared with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. We may share such information
with vendors and service providers who help us operate the text messaging program, maintain
compliance records, deliver messages, process opt-outs, detect abuse, or provide related services on
our behalf.
COOKIES, PIXELS, ANALYTICS, AND ADVERTISING TECHNOLOGIES
We and our vendors may use cookies, pixels, tags, web beacons, SDKs, local storage, device

apply to your access to and use of WWW.MATTBREWER.COM, any related websites, mobile
sites, donation pages, event pages, email programs, SMS/text programs, applications, social media
pages, and other online services that link to these Terms, collectively referred to as the “Sites.”
These Terms do not alter any other written agreement you may have with Brewer for Chicago. If you
make a campaign contribution, register for an event, sign up to volunteer, subscribe to updates,
submit information, or use a third-party payment processor, additional terms may apply.
We may change or modify these Terms at any time in our sole discretion. Any changes will be
effective immediately upon posting to the Sites unless otherwise stated. Your continued use of the
Sites after changes are posted confirms your acceptance of those changes.
1. Privacy Policy
Please review our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use, disclose, and protect
information from users of the Sites. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy regarding personal information, the

2. Campaign Communications, Email, and SMS/Text Messages

Brewer for Chicago, you consent to receive campaign communications from us, including campaign
updates, volunteer requests, event notices, fundraising appeals, voter information, and other political
communications.
Email Communications. Campaign email messages may include an unsubscribe or opt-out link where
legally required or otherwise appropriate. We will make reasonable efforts to honor email opt-out
requests as required by applicable law. You agree not to use false, misleading, or unauthorized
contact information when signing up for campaign communications.
SMS/Text Messages. If you request, consent to, or otherwise opt in to receive text messages from
Brewer for Chicago, you consent to receive recurring campaign text messages, including messages
sent by automated technology where permitted by law. Message frequency may vary. Message and
data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not required to make a contribution,
volunteer, attend an event, or otherwise support the Campaign.
You may opt out of campaign text messages by replying STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE,
or QUIT, where supported. You may reply HELP for help, where supported. Mobile carriers are not
liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We may change, suspend, or terminate any SMS/text
program at any time.
3. Campaign Contributions and Fundraising

All campaign contributions are subject to applicable federal, state, and local campaign finance laws,
including the Illinois Election Code and rules administered by the Illinois State Board of Elections,
where applicable.
By making a contribution, you certify that:
(a) the contribution is made from your own funds and not from funds provided to you by another
person or entity for the purpose of making the contribution;
(b) the contribution is not being reimbursed by another person or entity;
(c) you are not a foreign national or any other person or entity prohibited from making the
contribution;
(d) the contribution does not exceed applicable contribution limits;
(e) the information you provide is true, accurate, and complete; and
(f) the contribution is otherwise lawful under applicable federal, state, and local law.
Brewer for Chicago may refuse, reject, or refund any contribution for any reason, including if the
Campaign believes the contribution may be prohibited, excessive, improperly sourced, incomplete, or
otherwise noncompliant.
Political contributions are not charitable contributions and are not tax-deductible for federal income
tax purposes. Any contribution information you provide may be disclosed in public campaign finance
reports as required by law.
If contributions are processed through a third-party payment processor, your use of that payment
processor may be subject to the processor’s own terms, privacy policy, fees, and security practices.
Brewer for Chicago is not responsible for the acts, omissions, security practices, or policies of third-
party payment processors.
4. Election Information
The Sites may provide voter registration information, election dates, polling-place information, vote-
by-mail information, early voting information, candidate information, or other election-related
content. We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate information, but election laws, deadlines,
and polling locations may change.
Official election authorities control all voter registration, ballot access, voting, polling-place, and
election-administration matters. You should confirm all voting information with the appropriate
election authority before relying on it.
Nothing on the Sites guarantees your eligibility to vote, ability to register, receipt of a ballot,
acceptance of a ballot, or outcome of any election-related process.
5. Copyright and Limited License

trademarks, service marks, or protected materials of Brewer for Chicago or other applicable owners.
You may not copy, imitate, display, modify, frame, use in metatags, use in hidden text, or otherwise
use these marks or materials without prior written permission from Brewer for Chicago or the
applicable owner.
All other trademarks, registered trademarks, product names, company names, organization names,
and logos appearing on the Sites are the property of their respective owners. Reference to any third-
party product, service, organization, platform, or process does not imply endorsement, sponsorship,
approval, or affiliation unless expressly stated.
7. Hyperlinks and Third-Party Websites
You may not use a Brewer for Chicago logo, candidate image, campaign graphic, or other proprietary
material to link to the Sites without express written permission.
The Sites may include links to third-party websites, social media platforms, payment processors,
event platforms, volunteer tools, mapping services, voter-information resources, news articles, or
other external resources. These third-party sites are not controlled by Brewer for Chicago. We are not
responsible for the content, accuracy, policies, security, availability, or practices of any third-party
website or service.
When you leave the Sites, our Terms and Privacy Policy no longer govern. You should review the
terms and privacy policies of any third-party site or service you visit.
8. Third-Party Content, Events, and Services
The Sites may include third-party content, event information, endorsements, public statements,
media, social media posts, donation tools, volunteer tools, voter tools, or links to third-party products
or services. Your interactions with third parties are solely between you and the third party.

content, volunteer information, event information, or other materials to Brewer for Chicago, you
represent that you have the right to submit those materials and that they do not violate the rights of

By submitting materials, you grant Brewer for Chicago a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free,
transferable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, edit, publish, display, distribute, share, and
create derivative works from those materials for campaign, political, fundraising, compliance,
archival, and related purposes, in any media now known or later developed, without compensation to
you.
You agree not to submit materials that are unlawful, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive,
obscene, fraudulent, deceptive, infringing, invasive of privacy, or otherwise objectionable. We may
remove, edit, refuse, or decline to use any submission at any time.
10. Artificial Intelligence, Deepfakes, Impersonation, and Misleading Content
You may not use the Sites to submit, upload, distribute, or promote content that falsely impersonates
Matthew Brewer, Brewer for Chicago, campaign staff, volunteers, election officials, public officials,
voters, opponents, media outlets, or any other person or organization.
You may not submit or distribute materially deceptive synthetic media, deepfakes, AI-generated
audio, AI-generated video, manipulated images, or other altered content through the Sites in a manner
that is unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, misleading to voters, or intended to suppress, intimidate,
mislead, or confuse voters.
Nothing in this section is intended to prohibit lawful satire, parody, commentary, criticism, political
speech, or other protected expression.
11. Registration Data and Account Security
If any portion of the Sites requires you to create an account, register for an event, sign up to
volunteer, submit a form, or provide information, you agree to provide accurate, current, and
complete information.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials, passwords,
confirmation links, or access codes. You accept responsibility for all activity under your account or
credentials. You agree to notify us promptly if you believe your account, credentials, or submitted
information has been accessed or used without authorization.
12. Acceptable Use

COMMITTEE MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, CONSULTANTS,
VENDORS, AGENTS, REPRESENTATIVES, AND VOLUNTEERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE
FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY,
OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF PROFITS,
LOSS OF CONTRIBUTIONS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, DEVICE DAMAGE, OR OTHER
DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE
SITES, SITE MATERIALS, SERVICES, LINKS, COMMUNICATIONS, DONATION TOOLS,
EVENT TOOLS, OR THIRD-PARTY SERVICES.
THIS LIMITATION APPLIES WHETHER THE CLAIM IS BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT,

16. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Brewer for Chicago, its committee members,
officers, employees, contractors, consultants, vendors, agents, representatives, and volunteers from
and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable
attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to:
(a) your use of the Sites;
(b) your violation of these Terms;
(c) your violation of any law or regulation;
(d) your violation of another person’s rights;
(e) your submissions or content; or
(f) your fraudulent, deceptive, or unauthorized activity.
17. Termination
Brewer for Chicago may, without notice and in its sole discretion, suspend, restrict, block, or
terminate your access to the Sites or any portion of the Sites at any time and for any reason, including
if we believe you violated these Terms or applicable law.
18. Applicable Law and Venue
These Terms and your use of the Sites shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the
laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, any action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to these
Terms, the Sites, Site Materials, campaign communications, or your use of the Sites shall be filed
only in the state or federal courts located in Illinois. You consent to the personal jurisdiction and
venue of those courts.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall
be deemed severable from these Terms and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the
remaining provisions.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms incorporated by reference,
constitute the entire agreement between you and Brewer for Chicago regarding your use of the Sites.
